CFNS Research and Intervention at the Brevard County, Florida School Board Meeting - July 23, 2013.

As a direct result of CFNS research and testimony, Florida's Brevard County School Board will conduct a thorough review of the high-school history book, “World History.” CFNS appeared in force on Tuesday, July 23rd at the School Board meeting, following the decision of the Palm Beach County (Florida) school district to order this same book corrected and reprinted by the publisher, Pearson Prentice-Hall, based upon CFNS recommendations.

During his presentation to the Brevard County School Board, CFNS Chairman Dr. William Saxton told its members, “You are now using a textbook [World History] that we have found biased in favor of Islam at the expense of Christianity and Judaism, similarly biased against Israel, and to contain misleading and incorrect information.

CFNS's concerns were strongly supported by Florida State Representative Ritch Workman who came in person to the July 23rd meeting and testified about the flawed text as well. Representative Workman noted that the book contains 36 pages on Islam, and just four paragraphs covering both Judaism and Christianity.

Dr. Saxton reviewed the numerous flawed passages that are found in "World History" with Florida State Representative Ritch Workman who appeared before the Brevard School Boardto request that the textbook be reviewed and corrected.

The media was there as well! Florida Today covered the meeting in depth! You will want to read the whole story about this crucial School Board meeting which appeared the next day. CFNS members Doug and Jackie Murphy of Rockledge, Florida meet with CFNS's Founder just prior to the opening of the School Board meeting. The Murphy's have assembled a strong group of supporters throughout Brevard county, who are calling for the removal of “World History” from its high-schools.

Andy Ziegler (right), one of the five Brevard School Board members, took the time to personally listen to the concerns of Doug Murphy (center) and Dr. Saxton. Ziegler will be one of two Board members conducting a thorough review of "World History” as a result of CFNS’s appearance before the Board.
